Announcing the GetThru COVID-19 Grant Initiative

GetThru is now offering thousands of free dials and texts for organizations doing COVID-19 related work.

We are living in an unprecedented and terrifying time as the COVID-19 crisis continues to bring uncertainty to countries around the world. Here at GetThru, we want to make it easier for clients to deploy our technology for relief and mutual aid as the COVID-19 crisis continues to escalate, and we can think of no better way than to offer free text messages and dials so your organization can reach those most impacted. Today, we’re happy to announce we are now offering the following discounts for new and current clients doing COVID-19 related work.

How the grants will work: 

  • We’ll provide a total of 10,000 free messages and/or dials to any organization using our tools for direct relief efforts, such as health checks or connecting people to medical, food, and other services. 
  • After the free messages/dials are exhausted, we’ll provide our tools at a discounted rate of 25% off for any COVID-19 relief work.
  • Finally, we’ll provide free strategic guidance on how to scale these efforts, and spotlight efforts that are working well to help replicate effective models for direct relief. 

Getting started: Current clients

If you are an existing client who wants to take advantage of these discounts, we ask that you set up separate ThruText accounts and/or dedicated calling services in ThruTalk so that we can bill your COVID-19 response efforts separately from your normal usage. To set up a dedicated COVID-19 ThruText or ThruTalk account, email with COVID-19 in the subject line. 

Getting started: New clients

If you are organizations doing COVID-19 work who are not yet clients, you can sign up for new accounts using this form. They can access the discount by putting “COVID-19” as the answer to the “How did you hear about GetThru?” portion of the form.

Lastly, we’d also love to hear more about how you’re using our tools for COVID-19 relief efforts so that we can share these efforts with other GetThru users. Please drop us a line at to share the work your organization is doing.
