Pricing

What is your pricing for political campaigns?

For political campaigns, ThruText costs 8 cents USD per outgoing message. There are no subscription costs or minimum usage requirements — just “pay as you go” for the text messages you send. We also charge a $100 setup fee and provide bulk discounts starting at 100,000 messages / month. Our pricing includes free cell phone number validation, local sender phone numbers, training, and unlimited technical and strategic support. Lastly, users can lock-in bulk discounts by prepaying for messages.

What is your pricing for educational institutions?

For colleges and universities, ThruText costs 25 cents per active contact per month, or $1.50 per contact per year. The setup fee for colleges and universities is $250. Both plans include free cell phone number validation, local sender phone numbers, training, and unlimited technical and strategic support. Bulk discounts start at 10,000 contacts / month.

What is your pricing for nonprofit & advocacy organizations?

For nonprofits and advocacy organizations, ThruText costs 8 cents USD per outgoing message. There are no subscription costs or minimum usage requirements — just “pay as you go” for the text messages you send. We also charge a $100 setup fee and provide bulk discounts starting at 100,000 messages / month. Our pricing includes free cell phone number validation, local sender phone numbers, training, and unlimited technical and strategic support. Lastly, users can lock-in bulk discounts by prepaying for messages.

Do you offer unlimited messaging “per contact” plans for nonprofits and political campaigns?

We do! Our per contact plan is $.25 per active contact per month. This plan only makes sense for regular, high-volume texting to a group of engaged supporters.

Do you have an integration with VAN?

Yes! ThruText has a full, two-way sync with the VAN that covers its many iterations: Votebuilder, EveryAction, State Voices, America Votes, the Labor Activation Network, and NGP. That means you can cut a list of people you want to text in the VAN and pull it directly into ThruText, as well as record data in ThruText that gets synced back to activist codes, survey questions, or event RSVPs in the VAN. Is there an app?

There’s no app download required, but you can use ThruText on any phone or tablet using our responsive web application.

What number do the messages/calls come from?

The messages come from an independent, normal, 10-digit cell phone number — just like a message from a friend or family member — that way you’re not exposing personal cell phone numbers to hundreds or thousands of people. You can typically select a local area code for the phone number that the messages come from — but since the stock of available phone numbers is always changing, we can’t guarantee the availability of a particular area code.

What countries do you work in?

ThruText works in the United States, Canada, UK, Australia and Norway.

How do I get started with a ThruText account?

The first step is to request a demo. If you’re already familiar with the ThruText platform and are ready to get started, you can fill out this form to get the ball rolling on account setup. And if you just have some initial questions, please email info@getthru.io

Do you pay the setup fee immediately?

No, we add the set up fee to your first month’s invoice.

How quickly can I get started?

ThruText accounts can be set up within a single business day after you sign a basic service agreement.

What Is ThruTalk Pricing?

We charge a flat fee of $.055 per dial because it helps campaigns predict costs and doesn’t penalize clients for having real conversations with their target audiences.

Why Per Dial Pricing?

ThruTalk charges by the dial because it: 

  • Is transparent and predictable. Know your ThruTalk costs before you start dialing. Never run out of budget before you have called everyone you planned. Especially valuable for grassroots organizations with limited budgets and places with longer budget cycles.

  • Encourages real conversations. We are passionate about organizing and winning. We want everyone to be free to have real conversations with the folks they contact, to be able to do multiple asks, to dig deep, and to really listen.
  • Doesn’t punish success. ThruTalk lets you celebrate great contact rates and conversations without worrying about if you can afford it. ThruTalk lets you focus on the calls, not your wallet

Can You Use ThruTalk For Your Business?

Can ThruTalk Call Landlines?

Yes! ThruTalk can call all types of phones, including cell phones, landlines, and VOIP at blazing fast speeds.

What Number Do The Calls Come From?

ThruTalk does not provide phone numbers. All calls come from a number you provide. Anyone who calls back is directly connected with you. 

Can You Leave Voicemails Or Make Robocalls In ThruTalk?

You cannot do robocalls or leave live or recorded voicemails in ThruTalk

Do You Need A Minimum Amount Of Callers?

ThruTalk works better with more people so we recommend getting as many concurrent callers as possible, but the system does not have a minimum amount of callers. If you have a very low amount of callers or a very low amount of calls to make, ThruTalk may not be the best option for your use case. 

What Is Instant Follow-up?

Instant Follow-up allows callers to send a pre-written, customized email or text message to the person they called at the click of a button. Clients have used Instant Follow-up for event invite confirmations, GOTV plan reminders, fundraising pledge chasers, and even just as a way to collect new contact information while promoting a new video or news article. 

Can ThruTalk Do Transfers Or Patch Through Calls?
